Welcome!
The Humane Society of Noble County, Inc. is located in northeast Indiana and serves homeless, abandoned, stray and unwanted pets in Noble County. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization relying on community support, volunteers, and donations to operate.
MISSION: To provide shelter to stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals until a suitable home can be found; to never euthanize an animal for space; and to deliver programs that benefit both people and pets in Noble County.
VISION: To address the issue of pet over-population by providing prevention and education services, spaying and neutering services to all animals adopted from the shelter, and to be an exemplary shelter by executing exceptional business practices and transparency in our relationships.

Programs

Volunteer
Volunteers of all ages (those under 14 with an adult) are welcome at our shelter. From cleaning to walking dogs, to sitting quietly with a cat, there is always plenty to do! Can't make it in to our shelter? Off-site events are great ways to help homeless pets. For more information, please call or stop by our office.

Foster
Foster parents provide temporary homes for special pets prior to adoption. Providing foster care is a wonderful and personal way to contribute to saving homeless pets. Our foster program is geared towards animals with special needs: dogs needing quiet time for heartworm treatment, seniors, pregnant moms, moms with litters, and orphan litters. Please call or stop by our office for more information.

Community service
We offer both adult & youth community service opportunities for those that have been assigned court-appointed community service. Hours are available 7 days a week. Please call or stop by our office for more information.

Membership
Members are essential to both our organization and the pets they represent. By becoming a member, you have the opportunity to make decisions that directly impact shelter pets. Annual memberships are available for individuals, families, businesses and organizations. To become a member, please call or stop by our office for more information.

Recycling
We accept newspapers and aluminum cans. Newspapers are used to line cages; aluminum cans are recycled for cash. These items may be brought to the shelter any time.

Sponsorship
Cage sponsorships are an affordable and great alternative for people wishing to help homeless pets. Donors may select the type of pet they wish to sponsor. Please call or stop by our office for more information.
